Police identify woman killed after motorcycle’s rear tire blew out on I-10
A 64-year-old woman riding in a motorcycle was killed when the motorcycle’s rear tire blew out, resulting in a wreck.
Police said Maria Heredia was riding on a 2014 Victory with 67-year-old Luis Heredia.
The couple was riding east on I-10 when the rear tire blew out and they crashed. It happened on a stretch of the freeway in between McRae and Viscount the morning of July 28, 2018.
Police said Luis Heredia sustained non-life threatening injuries. Maria Heredia died at Del Sol Medical Center as a result of the injuries she sustained in the wreck, police said.
