Sheriff’s Office ready to distribute stuffed animals donated by local teen

A local teen’s donation will help children around El Paso.

ABC-7 told you about Amanda Hernandez last week. She, along with her family and friends collected about 400 stuffed animals with the help of Facebook.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office told us they received them and were distributed to three stations. Patrol vehicles will have them in case a child needs one.

Hernandez said she remembers how having a stuffed animal would have helped her during a call for service with the Sheriff’s Office.

She hopes the stuffed animals will bring comfort children while they’re assisted by deputies.
