Man killed in collision, police search for driver
El Paso police are looking for the driver of an SUV that hit a pedestrian and fled.
That man, identified as 45-year-old Juan Javier Aguilera, was critically wounded and ended up dying.
The collision happened shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday on the 7200 block of North Loop.
The preliminary investigation by police revealed Aguilera was on the sidewalk when he stepped onto the road and was hit by a silver-colored SUV heading east on N. Loop.
The man was taken to Del Sol Medical Center, where he later died.
The SUV that struck the man was last seen heading south onto Dodge.
