Man charged in Northeast bank robbery already wanted on outstanding felony warrants
The man suspected of robbing a Northeast El Paso bank had a series of outstanding warrants on felony charges, El Paso Police said Tuesday.
The department’s Crimes Against Persons (CAP) unit arrested and charged Michael Langenstrass, 30, in connection to the July 15, 2018 robbery of the 1st Convenience Bank inside the Walmart at 5631 Dyer.

Langenstrass fled the area after he allegedly received money from the teller.
During their investigation, CAP and the FBI were able to identify Langenstrass as the individual who committed the robbery, police said.
CAP detectives secured an Aggravated Robbery arrest warrant for Langenstrass for the alleged bank robbery.
Police said Langenstrass also has outstanding warrants for Revocation Aggravated Robbery, Revocation Theft, Revocation Robbery, and “Resisting Arrest/Search or Transport.”
Police said Langenstrass’ bonds totaled $257,141.
