Two people arrested in Doa Ana County on Meth charges
Adrian Villa, 40, and Diana Rodriguez, 40, were arrested on Saturday and charged with possession of Methamphetamine, some of which was stashed in one of the suspect’s sock.
Doña Ana County Sheriff’s deputies reported seeing a suspicious car parked in the 600 block of Taylor Road just after 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. The occupants were identified as Villa, the driver, and Rodriguez, who was in the passenger seat.
Deputies said Villa and Rodriguez gave conflicting stories as to why they were parked at that location. A records check revealed Villa had an outstanding warrant for narcotics.
After deputies took Villa into custody, a vial on his necklace was found to contain methamphetamine, and an additional 32 grams of meth was found hidden in his socks – along with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Rodriguez was also arrested for possession of meth, which was found near her in the vehicle.
The couple was taken to the Doña Ana County Detention Center where Villa is still being held without bond on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
Rodriguez was charged with possession of methamphetamine, but was later released on her own recognizance.
