Franklin Wrestler receives historic opportunity

The Franklin Cougars have been having a great week! 915 Wrestling reported yesterday morning that James Mcclain-Green has been offered a scholarship to wrestle at the prestigious Oklahoma State!

This is the first time an El Pasoan has ever been offered a scholarship to wrestle at the University!
Green has already verbally committed to Old Dominion but this could change things.
The OSU wrestling team is ranked third in the nation currently.

Green has taken home the gold medal in the state competition the past two years in a row and he looks to continue.
Besides wrestling, this senior stud is also a standout football player as well.
This is what Green had to say about the offer. “I just want to go out there and pick a part my opponent. I hate losing, Im very competitive. When Im on the mat he’s stopping me from accomplishing my goal, getting first place. I don’t like that too much, I use that as anger or momentum to make sure I win the match.”
