Man caught on camera holding pawn shop up at gunpoint
The El Paso Police Department needs the community’s help in identifying a man seen holding a pawn shop at gun point.
He was caught on security cameras at the “E-Z Pawn” located at 6100 Alameda. The robbery happened on Oct. 21 at 11:50 a.m.
According to a Crime Stoppers press release, the suspect asked about pawning a pair of sunglasses, then began asking about jewelry for sale. At one point, the man pulled out a handgun and threatened the employees, demanding money and jewelry.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and five gold necklaces. Witnesses say took off heading south on Clark.
Police describe the man as Hispanic, standing 5-foot-8-inches, weighting 190 pounds with a mustache and goatee, short hair and a tattoo on the back of his neck. Officers say the man was scene wearing a black baseball hat with a “Jordan” logo on the front. He was wearing glasses, a dark grey hooded jacket, a black t-shirt with a square print on the front, dark shoes and black, baggy pants.
