Sunland Park at I-10 closes for 27 hours over weekend

A 27-hour closure at Sunland Park Drive and Interstate 10 started at 3 a.m. Sunday.

Sunland Park Drive closed in both directions at the I-10 overpass, as did all exit and entrance ramps.

Additionally, Paisano Drive westbound closed at McNutt Road, including the Racetrack Drive entrance ramp to westbound Paisano Drive.

On Monday, four lanes in the middle section of the Sunland Park overpass will open, and the side bridges, which drivers currently use, will close for additional work.

The 27-hour closure is expected to be lifted Monday at 6 a.m., but GO10 Project officials said it could wrap up Sunday at 8 p.m.

A complete closure is also planned at Mesa Street and I-10 for Sunday night through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

This includes all entrance and exit ramps.

Mesa Street will close in both directions of traffic between Remcon Circle and Osborne Drive.

South Desert Boulevard will close between McClintok Drive and North Mesa Street.
