Democratic Presidential Poll: Who came out on top?
(CNN) – A new straw-poll has Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke leading the pack of potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidates.
O’Rourke narrowly edged out former vice president Joe Biden in a move-on poll published Tuesday as the top choice among potential Democratic candidates to run against president Trump.
15.6% of the respondents picked O’Rourke.
While Biden came in just under 15%.
Biden led the 2020 field in an October survey from CNN.
Senator Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent, came in third at just over 13%. Followed by California Senator Kamala Harris at 10%.
Nearly 18% of the respondents chose a generic “someone else” or “don’t know.”
