Aaron and Alvin Jones donate bikes to students
Students at East Point Elementary School got to celebrate Christmas nearly two weeks early.
El Pasoan and Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones and his brother Alvin teamed up with teachers and administrators at the school to donate nearly two dozen bikes to students.
The donations were delivered Thursday by Aaron and Alvin’s father, Alvin Jones Sr. Aaron had to be at practice in Wisconsin, but he was on the phone with his father during the drop-off.
“To have the Jones [family] still be able to give back to their community, and to know that El Paso is close to their hearts and make a difference to the kids that are here, there are just no words for us to be able to express how joyful we are for this experience,” Dana Boyd, the principal of East Point, told ABC-7.
The students were overjoyed, smiling widely after the announcement.
This is the second year in a row that Aaron, Alvin, and the rest of the Jones family have made the generous donation.
“My family, we are so blessed,” Jones Sr. told ABC-7. “We are so blessed that we are in a position to bless others.”
The donation was paired with another special presentation of gifts to students at the school by teachers as part of the East Point Angels Program.
