Vigil held for man killed in Fabens

The 57-year-old man was killed in Fabens Tuesday night.
El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies were called out just before 6 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of Southeast River Street in reference to “an injured party.”
Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Leslie Antunez wrote in a news release that deputies “deputies encountered a group of individuals causing a disturbance and an unconscious person laying (sic) on the floor.”
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Antunez did not clarify whether the “individuals causing a disturbance” were taken into custody. The sheriff’s office identified a person of interest,” Antunez said.
“Bobby was a very good-hearted person. he always worried about his family. his mom, his sisters. brothers,” Bobby’s sister, Leti Cordero said.
More than 50 people showed up to the vigil.
“I owe everything I am to you. and going forward I want to overcome everything, and have that memory of everything you taught me. and live it by example,” Bobby’s stepson, Raymond Alcoser said.
