BREAKING: Man arrested after traffic incident on I-10 E and Downtown

Police have arrested a man after investigating a traffic incident on I-10 east and Downtown led to the death of a man Thursday morning.

According to EPPD officials, 23-year-old Andres Reyes Carrasco was killed when he fell out of a moving car and was hit by other vehicles. Police said Carrasco and 20-year-old Christian Anthony Chavez were in the same car when they allegedly got into an argument. They also said Chavez allegedly put the car in reverse and may have run over Carrasco after the intial incident.

Police arrested Chavez for a DWI, but they are still unsure if he was driving the car at the time of the incident.

Carrasco died at the scene.

Chavez was booked on a $10,000 bond and charged with Driving Under the Influence.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
