Switcheroo! ABC-7 anchors swap shifts, newscasts

Good Morning El Paso anchor and Executive Producer Stephanie Valle announced Friday that she is leaving the news program to take another position in the newsroom and to anchor a different newscast.

Valle, who has co-anchored the morning newscast with Hillary Floren since 2014 and has overseen its production since 2017, said she will be anchoring ABC-7 at 4 and will also take on a new position as Newsroom Operations Manager.

Mauricio Casillas, who anchors ABC-7 at 4, will now take over for Valle in the morning both as anchor and Executive Producer. Casillas began working for ABC-7 in 2016 as the first morning traffic reporter. He then moved to anchor Good Morning El Paso Weekend for more than a year. After that he moved to ABC-7 at 4.

The switch officially happens on March 4; watch Good Morning El Paso from 4:30-7 a.m. and ABC-7 at 4 from 4-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
