Sheriff’s Office: Sex offender absconds from halfway house near Horizon City

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating Roberto Luna, a convicted sex offender who absconded from the halfway house near Horizon City.

On March 19, 2019, Luna left the El Paso Multi-Use Facility located at 1700 Horizon Boulevard and his whereabouts are unknown, the sheriff’s office said.

Luna is wanted on a parole violation and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is forthcoming, officials said.

Investigators said Luna was convicted of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault against a 12-year-old girl. He is currently on parole for a conviction on a charge of Burglary of Habitation.
