Crime Stoppers: Men stole woman’s purse, charged more than $1K on victim’s credit card

El Paso Police are looking for two men who allegedly stole a woman’s purse, then used the victim’s credit cards.

The alleged theft happened Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 9:44 p.m. at the ” Texas Road House ” restaurant located at 10729 Gateway West.

Police said the two men grabbed a purse that was hanging on the back of a chair. The victim was sitting with a large group and did not notice the suspects taking the purse until they had left the restaurant, police said.

The men allegedly used the woman’s credit cards to make purchases at the Target located at 1901 George Dieter. They allegedly purchased more than $1,000 in merchandise.

The men also used the cards at the Circle K Store located at 11101 Montwood , a McDonald’s restaurant and a Starbucks, police said.

In total the men allegedly charged $1,149.11 on the stolen credit cards.

In addition to the credit card theft, the stolen purse was a Louis Vuitton purse valued $1,700.00 with a Louis Vuitton wallet valued at $500.
