What to do if you lose your trash or recycling bins due to wind

With strong winds expected across the Borderland on Wednesday, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) is reminding people how to recover trash or recycling bins that may be blown away or lost.

Residents who have lost a bin may call 3-1-1 or 212-6000 to have it replaced.

If you find a container, here’s what you should do:

· Ask your neighbors if they’ve lost any containers, if so return it to them

· Call 3-1-1 to have ESD pick up the lost container

· Drop it off at ESD’s Containers Program at 701 Pendale
