El Paso County Sheriff’s Office allowing public to use incinerator

El Paso County residents will be allowed to use the Sheriff’s Office’s incinerator to get rid of personal documents that are no longer needed.

The Sheriff’s Office is encouraging residents to incinerate their documents this Saturday, in an effort to reduce the risk of identity threat.

Officials said the incinerator will help residents feel secure knowing that their documents will not get into the wrong hands.

One 30-gallon trash bag will be allowed per household.

The Sheriff’s Office Incinerator is located at 12501 Montana, behind the Montana Patrol Station and the Region VIII Training Academy.

It’ll be open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
