Border Patrol apprehends 670 migrants in 24 hours in El Paso Sector
Border Patrol agents apprehended three more large groups of migrants in an 24-hour span. In total, 670 migrants crossed the Southern border overnight.
Two groups entered the United States near the Antelope Wells port of entry in the Bootheel region of New Mexico.
The first group of 243 migrants entered shortly after midnight Wednesday followed by a group of 209 later that morning.
Border Patrol agents also apprehended a group of 219 migrants who crossed the border barrier in Downtown El Paso around 2 a.m.
The groups all comprised of mostly Central American families and unaccompanied minors, according to Border Patrol.
