UIL Track and Field results for local competitors

The UIL State Track Meet just completed.

Saturday proved to be a good day for local track stars in the Borderland.

Grant Levesque out of Coronado High School cleared 16’3″ in the pole vault locking in a gold medal for the star.

Also from Coronado Jenelle Jaeger-Darkjy took home a gold medal in the 800M.

Franklin High School’s Omajuwa Etiwe finished in first place running a blazing 46.51 in the 400M that could not be beaten at the meet.

In 4A Edwin Gomez out of San Elizario took home hardware in three events. Only a sophmore Gomez made waves in Austin. He would take home a gold in the 800M and two bronze medals in the 1600M and 3200M
