Native El Pasoan, former prosecutor, writes book based on life experiences
Matt Moore gave up studying to be a priest to become an educator. After teaching for a number of years, he decided to go into the law. He became a municipal court judge and spent 18 years in the El Paso District Attorney’s office. His lifetime of adventures has become the basis for a new book, “Helping It’s What We Do”.
These are ten totally unconnected short stories. For example, a defense attorney in El Paso represented an indigent client in federal court and refused to accept payment. He explained, “It’s what we do. We help one another.” That is what joins these stories. The pictures on the front and back covers were taken nearly one hundred years apart, but each shows a protective older sibling. “It’s what we do. We help one another.”
The book is available on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com.
