StormTrack Weather: Warmer temps. return Tuesday along with chances for scattered showers

Cooler air made its way to the borderland Monday and kept our afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Warmer temps will return by Tuesday and so will the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.

A few thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon could be severe, with hail and gusty winds possible.

Quieter weather will return for Wednesday, with breezy westerly winds bringing temperatures back up into the mid 80s across the lowlands. However, a strong storm system will drop a cold front into our area Thursday night, bringing much cooler temperatures to the area for Friday.

Temperatures will slowly recover over the weekend.
