Man shot, wounded during fight over gun along Las Cruces roadway
A 30-year-old man was shot and wounded late Tuesday afternoon near a Las Cruces intersection, but police said no arrests had been made.
It happened shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Northrise Drive and White Sage Arc.
Police said the victim and a 26-year-old man apparently got into a dispute and were fighting for control of a gun when the weapon fired.
The victim drove himself to Mountainview Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the arm.
Police said the gun was recovered from the car of the suspected shooter, but that man has not currently been charged. Investigators also said the victim has been uncooperative.
