El Paso Police identify victim in Upper Valley stabbing

Man taken to the hospital after stabbing

EL PASO, Texas -- (Update) El Paso Police have identified the man who was stabbed multiple times on Sunday morning in the upper valley.

Mark Holguin, 23, is a resident of Sunland Park, New Mexico. Police say officers arrived to 1071 Country Club Road to find Holguin on the ground with stab wounds.

The investigation revealed Holguin got into a fight with another man leading to the stabbing. No arrests have been made at this time and police continue their investigation.

A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing.

According to the El Paso Police Department, the stabbing happened at 1071 Country Club Road in El Paso's Upper Valley.

The call for the stabbing came just before 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Police were seen at the scene of the stabbing. Portions of the area were tapped off.

Police weren't able to provide any other information surrounding the stabbing.
