Acting Principal in Alamogordo faces sexual abuse charges involving child

ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico - An Alamogordo school principal is facing 6 counts related to sexual abuse involving a child.

According to officials, the investigation started following a parent's outcry.

Trevor Lavalais is the Acting Principal of Legacy Christian Academy.

An upcoming hearing will determine whether Lavalais will remain in jail without bond.
