New West El Paso summer camp use Horses to reach children of all abilities

ABC-7

EL PASO, Texas- A new summer camp has opened in West El Paso on 5747 Montoya.

Sunny Farm specializes in using animals to entertain the campers.

They can ride or learn to take care of the horses.

The camp also has a petting zone with chickens, pigs, ducks and goats.

Director of the camp Paulina Villar told ABC-7 they also use the animals for therapy in children with all types of needs.

“It’s pretty cool because they are pretty emotional.  They feel you they understand you.”

“We lost a lot of family due to the COVID so we have a therapist where we do on the ground therapy next to the horses,” Villar said.

They also have a non-profit seeking donations in order to open up a family therapy recreational facility.

More information regarding the camp can be found at www.sunnyfarmep.com
