Ricardo Marquez found guilty of murdering Erika Gaytan

UPDATE: District Attorney Yvonne Rosales has informed ABC-7 that the sentencing phase of the case will resume tomorrow morning.

EL PASO, Texas - A jury unanimously found Ricardo Marquez guilty of murder on Thursday.

The verdict was reached at 10:26 a.m. The jury is currently figuring out the next steps of the trial, deciding if the punishment phase will start to take place this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Marquez was accused of killing Erika Gaytan after a concert back in July of 2019. Her body has never been found.
