Viva! El Paso begins 44th season this Friday
EL PASO, Texas - Viva! El Paso returns this Friday for its 44th season in McKelligon Canyon. The show's artistic director Cody Ritchey appeared on ABC-7 at 4 to talk about the production.
Viva! is an annually performed musical which celebrates El Paso's cultural history through dance, drama, narration, and songs. It has been running almost continually since 1978 and was updated with a new script and music in 2016. The story follows a love story through generations of over 400 years of El Paso history.
The cast is comprised of about 40 talented singers, dancers, and actors.Â
