El Paso Public Library one of the top in the state for the fourth year in a row

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Public Library is one of 73 public libraries our of 552 in all of Texas to receive the 2022 Achievement of Library Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association.

“We are greatly honored to have received this distinction for the fourth time in a row,” said El Paso Public Library Director Norma Martinez. “More than anything it emphasizes our library staff’s hard work and dedication to our community.”   

To receive this award, libraries must provide services to underserved and special populations, marketing in innovative ways, pursuing collaborative efforts, and more.

The El Paso Public Library also received the award in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
