EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) --Senior residents at Molina Quality Living facilities were given the surprise of a lifetime when they were invited to participate in the Golden Rollers Bowling tournament.

"I never thought I would ever be able to bowl anymore," said Carolyn Fogg.

"They surprised me they said you're going bowling and I said... what," said Ester Frosto.

"We usually go to the facilities, but this time we decided that it was time for them to come and, you know, just do something and get out of their normal routine," said Angelica Solis Community Engagement Specialist for Molina Healthcare. "It, you know, provides a little bit of physical activity for them. They get motivated because they're competing."

"Well, I'm going. I have to really go for it," said Frosto.

Trophies were given to all participants, as well as 1st and 2nd place winners but the real prize for most was the experience.

"I just let it go. I was ecstatic. And I thought I was going to make is going to make it! I could finally do something," said Fogg.

Fogg was part of a bowling team in her hometown of Massachusetts and thought her bowling days were behind her.

"I have two broken hips where I can't do anything but get out of my wheelchair. This is the first time I've been able to get out," said Fogg

But her bowling days are far from over.

"I got a strike I got one strike," said Fogg. "If I could jump up and down I would've but I can't jump up and down."

At 91 years old Fogg says the secret to a life of longevity is staying active and of course sharing laughter. Both of which she got to enjoy during the Golden Rollers Bowling tournament.
