Las Cruces to host gun buyback next month
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Las Cruces is one of three New Mexico cities holding a gun buyback early next month.
The event will take place Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sportsman's Warehouse on Telshor Boulevard.
New Mexico State Police are conducting the gun buyback as a way to promote gun safety and reduce gun violence.
People who anonymously hand in handguns will get a $200 gift card, or a $300 gift card for a rifle. No questions will be asked about who owns the guns or where they came from.
