CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Nikki Haley says she is not worried that Donald Trump has picked up another endorsement from her home state of South Carolina. Rep. Nancy Mace told The Associated Press Monday she is backing the ex-president in this year’s Republican presidential contest, a day before the New Hampshire primary. Haley says she wants the support of New Hampshire voters, not congressional endorsements, and notes she has made more appearances in the state than Trump. Mace had stayed out of the 2024 GOP primary as fellow South Carolinians Haley and Sen. Tim Scott entered the race last year. Haley, a former South Carolina governor, lives in Mace’s district and supported her in 2022 against a Trump-backed challenger.
