Eek: Detroit-area library reopens after a DVD is returned with bugs inside

KVIA

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) — A suburban Detroit library has reopened after someone returned more than a movie over the weekend. The library in Royal Oak says it was closed Sunday after staff members encountered creepy crawlies when a DVD case in the drop box was opened. A pest control company investigated Monday and found no more insects. Patrons seemed satisfied with the decision to temporarily close the library, saying officials were “proactive and transparent.”
