El Paso Electric customers in Texas to see credit in bills

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Electric customers in Texas will see a credit on their bills for November and December.

EPE officials say that the average residential customer will receive a credit of about $3.00 dollars. They say the refund is a reflection on the fuel charge line item on customer bills.

It is designated to cover the cost of fuel that was used to generate electricity, a cost which EPE says it incurs to generate electricity for its customers.

Refunds will vary on rate service customers are on. They say fuel factors are adjusted every so often to reflect current and prognosticated cost of fuel.

EPE says fuel is adjusted monthly in New Mexico.
