Store surveillance images show suspected 'beer runners' sought by police.

EL PASO, Texas -- Police are searching for so-called "beer runners," a group of people suspected in recent beer thefts from a local store.

El Paso police released surveillance images Wednesday of the alleged beer thieves, but provided few other details.

Based on a police department alert issued to local businesses, it appears the beer heist happened in the northeast part of the city.

The surveillance images showed the various suspects entering a 7-11 store and one contained a date and timestamp of Nov. 23 after 2 a.m.

In a tweet, police wrote: "Beer Runs are THEFT. Theft is a crime. Persons caught doing beer runs will be arrested. If you want to drink beer pay for it. If you can't pay for it, don't drink."
