EL PASO, Texas -- A police standoff that had unfolded in a central El Paso neighborhood came to an end late Monday afternoon.

The El Paso Police Department's SWAT team was called out to the 2600 block of Morehead Avenue.

A police spokesman didn't immediately have any details about what triggered the standoff or how it ended. It also wasn't known if any arrests had been made.

A witness, who is a longtime resident of the neighborhood, said the SWAT activity took place around an apartment complex that had been the scene of police attention in recent times.
