1 dead, 2 wounded in northeast El Paso shooting; gunman sought
EL PASO, Texas -- Police said a woman was killed and two men were wounded in a northeast El Paso neighborhood on Saturday evening when gunfire rang out.
The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. in the 9900 block of Genie Drive.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired at a home found a 28-year-old woman dead and a 32-year-old man injured, both from gunshot wounds.
Police said a third victim, a 27-year-old man, showed up at a nearby hospital after driving himself there from the shooting scene.
Authorities were searching for the gunman as detectives sought to determine what led up to the shootings.
There was no immediate word on the hospital conditions of the two shooting survivors. Police did not release any of the victims’ identities nor did they provide a description of the shooter.
No further details were available late Saturday night.
