2 ‘very intoxicated’ victims hurt in west El Paso bar stabbing; liquor agents investigating
EL PASO, Texas -- Two victims described as "very intoxicated" walked to a nearby fire station for help after reportedly being stabbed at a west El Paso bar early Monday morning, police said.
Investigators said the pair were apparently attacked during a confrontation about 2 a.m. at the Rockin' Cigar Bar and Grill at 6404 N. Mesa Street, but they were unable to provide officers with further details.
One of the victims suffered a head wound and the other a neck wound, both of which police said were not life-threatening.
The pair were transported by firefighters to University Medical Center for treatment.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission told ABC-7 it also had TABC agents investigating the incident "to determine if alcohol played a role in in the events that took place, and whether any alcohol was served improperly."
