Truck driver left motorcyclist to die on I-10 after hitting him, El Paso police say
Update (September 11, 2024): El Paso Police say an unknown semi driver hit the motorcyclist, 50-year-old Ricardo Cuellar, before driving away.
Cuellar became dislodged from his motorcycle, then was hit by the semi, police say. After that, police officials explain that four other cars hit Cuellar.
Cuellar's motorcycle continued upright without him for another few hundred feet before another car hit it, police say.
Police are looking for information on how Cuellar became dislodged from his motorcycle and who the semi driver is.

Police say this is the 44t traffic fatality of the year compared to 53 the same time last year.
Update 6:03 AM: All lanes on I-10 East near Airway have reopened.
Update 10:32 PM: The El Paso Police Department's Special Traffic Investigation unit is responding to a motorcycle crash at I-10 East near Airway.
Police confirm one person has died.
All of I-10 eastbound is closed and drivers are advised to find alternate routes and follow the detours.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Police say all eastbound lanes at I-10 East before the Airway exit are closed due to a crash.
Police advise drivers to follow the detour. The lanes will be closed until further notice while emergency crews investigate.
Traffic is currently backed up to Geronimo.
