New Details: Teen injured in Las Cruces shooting near Frenger Park
Update (December 31, 2024): Las Cruces Police Department officials are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
Police say the shooting injured a teen boy, who was subsequently taken to a Las Cruces hospital for treatment. Emergency crews then transferred the teen to an El Paso facility, where he is now in "critical but stable condition," according to police.
"At this time, no arrests have been made but the shooting remains under investigation," a spokesperson stated Tuesday afternoon. "Any additional information to be shared with LCPD can be made by calling (575) 526-0795."
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Las Cruces Police say a "juvenile male" was taken to the hospital following a shooting Monday evening.
It call came in at 5:48 p.m. at the 1800 block of South Espina, which is near Frenger Park.
A spokesman for the Las Cruces Police Department says the victim was taken to Mountain View Regional Medical Center.
Police are asking for anyone with any information regarding the shooting, including potential suspects or video recordings of the shooting, to call police.
