People injured in Lower Valley shooting

Update (February 19, 2025): Police arrested Efren Martinez, 32, and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They booked him into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.

Police say that a 22-year-old man was injured in the shooting. Police have not publicly identified the victim, explaining only that he is a Central El Paso resident.

Police have not released any other information on this shooting.


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Three people have been taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after a shooting took place in El Paso's Lower Valley.

According to the El Paso Police Department, the shooting happened at the intersection of Seville Dr. and Sambrano Ave. at 5:46 p.m. Sunday. That's just north of Ascarate Park.

Crimes Against Persons is currently investigating.

ABC-7 has a crew on the way to the scene of the shooting.
