27-year-old woman arrested in South-Central El Paso murder

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police arrested Alejandra Ramirez, 27, and charged her with murder. She is accused of murdering Jorge Serna, 63, on September 15, 2025 at 8:04 a.m. on the 1900 block of Olive Avenue in South-Central El Paso.

Officers booked her into the El Paso County Detention Facility, where she is now being held without bond.
Police investigators have not provided any details on the events leading up to the murder and Ramirez's arrest.
ORIGINAL STORY (September 16, 2025): Police are asking the public's help to find more information on what led up to a man found dead with stab wounds Monday morning.
Investigators have identified the victim as 63 year-old Jorge Serna of El Paso.
As ABC-7 reported, officers responded around 8 a.m. Monday morning to the 1900 block of Olive Ave. According to a release Tuesday, officers were initially called out for a welfare check on a residence.

Officers found Serna dead with the stab wounds. Detectives with the Crimes Against Persons unit were called to the scene to take over the investigation, which remains ongoing.
