Man charged with intoxication manslaughter after deadly crash on MLK Jr. Boulevard
Update (October 17, 2025): El Paso Police charged Jose Francisco Acevedo Osorio, 24, with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault after the crash that happened Thursday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Northeast El Paso.
Eduardo Adrian Munoz, 32, died in the crash, which happened at 3:18 a.m.
Special Traffic Investigators say that Munoz and another motorcyclist were traveling south on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when Acevedo, who was also driving south, rear-ended both motorcyclists.
Munoz died at the scene and the other motorcyclist was injured and rushed to the hospital.
"Acevedo showed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody," El Paso Police officials explained. "He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility."
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person is dead after a motorcycle and car crash. The Special Traffic Investigations Unit is currently investigating the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Loma Del Sur Drive.
Police received a call around 3:35 a.m. today. One person died at the scene, but has not been identified.
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is closed south of Jon Cunningham Boulevard.
