EL PASO, Texas — Chick-fil-A restaurants in El Paso and Las Cruces are celebrating "hometown heroes" in the community with a free  entrée giveaway this week.

Restaurant locations are dedicating one special day of the May 3-6 giveaway to each of the following groups: Military personnel and veterans, teachers, nurses, and first-responders, law enforcement and peace officers.

“We know this past year has been especially challenging... We are so thankful for our local heroes that support El Paso and Las Cruces, and we wanted to offer a small token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work,” said Edgar Ortega, the franchise operator of the Chick-fil-A location on Desert Boulevard in El Paso.

Customers with a valid professional ID who visit an area Chick-fil-A restaurant on their designated day will receive either a free chicken sandwich of a free 8-count chicken nuggets.

Those designated days are:

  •         Monday, May 3: Military Personnel & Veterans
  •         Tuesday, May 4: Teachers
  •         Wednesday, May 5: Nurses
  •         Thursday, May 6: First Responders, Law Enforcement and Peace Officers

The giveaway is available on each day between 10:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and is limited to one free entrée per person.
