I-10 westbound closed through downtown El Paso due to pair of crashes

Two separate car crashes happening late Wednesday night along Interstate 10 at Porfirio Diaz forced authorities to close westbound lanes through downtown.

Authorities described the crashes as minor and said no one was injured in either of them, but indicated they needed to close I-10 west to allow tow trucks to clear the wreckage.

The closure occurred just before 10 p.m. Officials had cleared the scene approximately at 11 p.m.
