Electricity restored for nearly 5,000 in far east El after wind causes outage
EL PASO, Texas -- Windy conditions Thursday night resulted in debris on power lines that triggered a power outage for nearly 5,000 electric customers in far east El Paso.
El Paso Electric Company crews went to a spot along Zaragoza to remove the debris and restore power.
The outage, which occurred about 6:25 p.m. impacted 4,931 El Paso Electric customers. Power was restored for everyone around 7:50 p.m.
During the outage, authorities indicated traffic lights were out from Montana to Montwood.
