Person found dead in neighborhood near Bridge of the Americas

A body was found in Central El Paso Monday night.

Detectives from the El Paso Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit were called out to S. Stevens Street and Rivera Avenue, not far from the Bridge of the Americas and Chamizal National Memorial.

Police said they found the body before 10:30 p.m.

The department has not said if they suspect there was violence.

The victim has not been identified.
