Tristen in the House: UConn visit the White House to celebrate NCAA Tournament win

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Pasoan Tristen Newton stood directly behind President Joe Biden as he applauded the UConn Huskies for their NCAA Tournament win.

“This team is proof that there’s no quit in UConn, just like there’s no quit in America – none. There’s nothing we can’t do when we believe we can do it if we do it together. And that’s exactly what you all did. You stood up. And that’s what sports and this country is all about: Possibilities,” Biden said.

This was the fifth time a UConn team has been to the White House to celebrate a Natty.

It's a pretty big moment for the Burges grad who just a few days ago had his Pro Day in Vegas as he tried to decide if he will stick around for the NBA Draft or go back to UConn and use his last year of NCAA eligibility.
