Hiker carried down El Paso’s Franklin Mountains
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A hiker had to be taken off the Franklin Mountains by Combined Search and Rescue crews this weekend.
The hiker was rescued from the Sneeds Cory Trail in the Tom Mays State Park. He had suffered minor injuries on the trail. Once the rescue team got him down off the mountain they took him to the hospital.
ABC-7 is working to get an update on the hiker's condition.
Temperatures are expected to rise in the coming days, making hiking potentially dangerous. Experts ask that everyone take precautions when hiking during peak heat hours.
