El Paso Water warning customers of “shady” business practices

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Water is warning the community of shady business practices.

El Paso Water is partnering with local agencies including the El Paso Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Better Business Bureau to help combat illegal and misleading business practices.

Officials said people continue to impersonate El Paso Water staff, making false claims about the company and customers' water quality.

El Paso Water and law enforcement agencies hope to raise awareness about these ongoing unethical practices.

ABC-7 would like to talk to anyone who has fallen to these type of scams. You can e-mail us at news@kvia.com.
