Pedestrian struck by car on State Route 26 near Hatch; victim’s condition unknown

HATCH, New Mexico -- New Mexico State Police officers said a pedestrian was struck Saturday night by a car along a state road near Hatch.

The eastbound lanes of State Route 26 were closed at mile marker 46, following the incident for investigators.

There was no word from police as to the condition of the person struck - or the events that led up to that person being hit by a vehicle.
